o.k....got the Giant Steps exercises and I'm able to apply secondary and tertiary minor conversion substitues over it...my question...how about your take on Countdown? This tune still confounds me. Even though it has some resembelance to Giant Steps, the harmonic rhythm presents a challenge. P.S. I did a CD w/Frank LoCrasto here in Dallas. Did he mention me?

It's great to see you receiving recognition for your tireless contributions to the music world and more specifically the guitar. I can think of no one more deserving. The Giant Steps analysis is terrific and very timely. Keep up the great work and congratulations on the award.

USA - Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 22:49:11 (EST)Was hoping to catch you at home yesterday. I meet you over twenty years ago through Johnnie Valentino..My former teacher Joe Bareale always asks, "How's Pat"..The old timers aren't into this computer thing to even check out the sight. I have mentioned it to Joe...I'm hoping he'll have the experience to see all that you have accomplished for the guitar....Hope to see you sometime.
thanks for the music that you have introduced in your web page..looks like many people are going to be very happy..

Your methods of viewing the neck have really inspired me to learn more about how the instrument works, and hopefully uncover patterns of my own. Thank you!
