I noticed the planned concert in Amsterdam in September 2003. Does that mean that a European tour is planned too? If so, I would be most pleased to book you for Jazzclub Unterfahrt in Munich.

I heard that Gibson is still making the Martino "custom" guitar but no longer making the Pat Martino "standard" model. If this is so, that's too bad. The ebony finish standard model is a beautiful instrument.

Hello Mr Martino, I just found your site tonight & it brought back a heap of memories, like the first time i heard your "Footprints" album - i was just starting out on the guitar & it was like a whole other universe had opened up - it`s wonderful how music can evoke the past & bring back feelings about places & people. Well, i never did turn out to play like you! - but life kind of took me in other directions - even though i still play for my own enjoyment & i know that music played a major role in shaping my character & giving me a kind of self discipline. Yeah, i remember hot summer nights & certain gal & listening to "Sunny". Thanks for the memories & it`s great that you`re still makin` that sweet music - all the best. Orion.

Pat ! I 'm glad you are well and doing well. Somehow in your interviews you keep forgetting the Hurricanes when you first started. Also, The Hurricane Trio with You, Ed Lalli, and myself. Why?

Liked your comment about the guitar being an "apparatus".Guitarists in particular get bogged down in the technology."My new guitar is more sooper-dooper than yours and cost a lot more so I sound great." Music is played by human beings not by bits of wood.No heart? no soul? no music!Continued success to you.All The Very Best

Pat, in the "Nature of the Guitar" area, beneath the 4 pages is says, "Excerpts from "Nature of the Guitar" by Pat Martino". Is there a book with that title that you have written? If not will you write one?

Pat I am a "used to be" tenor player who studied with Eric Kloss in Pgh back in the mid to late 70's. Even though I have been out of the scene for quite some time, I have continued to follow your music as well as everyone else's. But, Eric seems to have fallen from view and I wondered what is up with him and is there a way to get in touch with him. Perhaps an email address?
