Pat, I`m only 16 years old but I`ve been listening to your music since 14. I just can`t imagine you do that! What sound you got from that guitar!I`ve transcribed your solos a lot and I always try to emulate your style of playing when it`s possible. But I know it`s quite dificult, so one thing I`d like to tell ya is:You`re INCREDIBLE! No one like you.I just have to elevate your personality at a level of the bests!Very thanks to you and please light my way of growing musically!

Thank you so very much for your music. I have a question that I'd like to ask you. Can you tell me what guitar and amp you are using on "The Maker"?
I look forward to seeing you again in New York.

- Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 16:03:40 (EDT)found your video creative force part 1 in a small music shop, I have always been mistified by jazz, but the video opened the door to a brilliant way of constructing licks, Im now on part 2. Without a dought your videos have completely changed my way of thinking and playing to a much more melodic style. Most of all, thank you for sharing your method of playing in an open and honest way.

Agoura Hills , CA USA - Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 22:53:19 (EDT)Pat,
I've been a great admirer of your for the last 15 years. I had the great fortune of seeing you at the Regattabar a while back. Your band was Burnin'! Joey was lifting the house with his soloes.
I also would love to host a master class in my area if you are in the region. I teach at College with a number of Good guitarist (couple attended the Boston Gig and it dramatically alterd their playing.)
Feel free to contact me at my email address.
Keep up the good work!

Plymouth , NH USA - Sunday, May 19, 2002 at 20:57:02 (EDT)hello pat,
first off, i hope everything is going well. i just wanted to say, like many others, that your music and style has affected me so much and im very grateful. the question i have is this: i saw you on "BET on jazz" the other day, and im not sure what tune you guys were playing, but you were playing this guitar...kind of a black transparent, single round cutaway, one pickup solid body. i was just wondering what kind it was. it was very beautiful. thanks and god bless.

monson, ma usa - Sunday, May 19, 2002 at 11:53:56 (EDT)Dear Pat,
Your music is such a beautifull thing...it continues to add immeasurably to my life...It is, for myself (and so many other musicians), the embodiment of all that I hope to bring to others with my own music. It is a standard of the highest... towards which we all may strive. It is a poignant and powerfull expression of your hope, your courage, and your love of life. sincerely, Phil Cianflone

- Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 06:31:39 (EDT)I admire your work very much. Keep it going. It was great to see you at Catalina's here in Hollywood, and to have a chance to take a class with you and John Paisano.
I am interested in knowing what you think makes a great guitar.
If the player is not a factor, assuming a great one can make nearly anything sound good, what are the characteristics of the instrument you look for? What defines the difference for you between good and great? And finally, how would you define the qualities of an instrument that is truly outstanding?
I really look forward to hearing your opinions. (I hope you're playing in Los Angeles again soon!)

Los Angeles, CA USA - Thursday, May 09, 2002 at 15:04:49 (EDT)Hello Pat,
I am a guitarist of some 30 years here in Toledo who has finally at 49 decided to really learn about the instrument. I am very inspired by your recovery from the anyurism. My self I am a cancer survivor who learned what is important during my illness. I did hear your music first in the 70's with the Muse recording "Pat Martino live" and saw you at a NAMM show in the 80's. Live at Yoshi's (and Exit) are mine and my 15 year old sons daily listening experience. I will come to see you on your next midwest trip. Good health to you!
