My son is a Jazz Performance major on guitar at Rowan University and saw you recently at the Tin Angel and was blown away..especially because Jim R. is on staff at Rowan.. What a great influince on the American jazz guitar! Your unique,complex,dark and often copied style of jazz is really moving...we've lost a lot of really good musicians to hoaky commercial ideas,but you prove that your music speaks for itself.

Hello, Mr Martino; I am pleased to be able to communicate with you via this medium. Doing so, collectively, with your music has been a valuable asset to me and an inspiration. I have a fellow employee/friend with whom I have shared your life. He was once, as well, a guitarist. But a tragic accident almost cost him his life. He was told he would never walk again but has run several Marathon's and continues to run ~5 miles a day. But he has never picked up that guitar, though! So I have introduced him to your story hoping for another miracle. Thanks for your genuine and personable literature and instructions, even at 48 I am still learning and teaching.
