Hi Pat- Just saw your show last nite at the TO jazz festival. What a pleasure! Your playing caught my ear in the 70's and got me interested in jazz guitar in the first place. It has been the love of my life. Absolutely a great trio you got at the moment- you guys just fly around the sky and never come down. Awesome playing, thanks a million.

Hello Pat (and also Joey and Byron). I was fortunate enough to catch your performance at the Vogue in Vancouver last night (June 26) and it was definitely a rare musical treat for me. I didn't really sleep too well last night, my ears and my brain and my soul were so stimulated and excited by all that I heard and saw. Thank you for giving us these moments of exuberance and joy, it was one of the (if not THE) swingenest, groovenest moments of jazz I've ever experienced. God bless. Frank in Vancouver.

Hi Pat, Wonderful to see and hear you at the Blue Note last night (Sun, Jan 23). You are growing all the time, and I love the place that you play music from. The tone you are producing is gorgeous. I feel a great Serenity coming from you and you seem happier than ever. I wanted to thank you again for the 3 lessons you shared with me a few years ago. I have some pages I would like to email you, I'm writing a very modern chord book for guitar, I'd love to get an opinion from you. How should I send it? Thanks for your time, Steve B. Thanks for your inspiration,

Hello Pat, I'm just back from NYC where I had the incredible opportunity of listening to you and getting to meet you. I was (as always) amaized at your flawless, exquisite technique and musical gusto, but I must say that your human warmth, the sincere way you shake hands and you establish eye contact is what has, absolutelly, sealled my admiration for you as a superb musician and human being. I just regret I didn't go for a hug when I had the chance. Many, many thanks Pat... stay well and never change. BPR Hector

Hi Pat: It has been over a year since my wife and I approached you between sets on Sunday at the Iridium. I mentioned that I've been a fan since the early 70's and rather boldly asked for a lesson. Cornered, you were nevertheless incredibly gracious. I was very honored to meet you. After viewing your website though, and seeing the posts of your many fans and your heavy itinerary, I realized it was a very selfish request. Yet, the experience altered my practice, as if I were preparing somehow for the lesson. After spending the past several years resolving problems with my technique, I still lacked an authentic voice of my own. I started composing lines to play, day by day, in a kind of square one approach and the guitar finally disappeared(!), if you know what I mean. For the first time in my life(I'm almost 50), I actually feel good about my playing. So, thanks for a year of "virtual lessons" and many thanks for all of your wonderful music and your generosity of spirit.
