MIKE ERDOS: Hi Mike; it's been a while since your last contact. As to your question about itinerary, I've been out of touch with the server of this website so let me bring to your attention that I've recently recorded two new projects; one with Cyrus Chestnut as a featured artist along with Cyrus; Wallace Roney; Kenny Garrett; Christian McBride and Steve Gadd; for Verve Records and another one; again as a featured artist on a tribute to Charles Earland; including Eric Alexander; Joey DeFrancesco and others. Which by the way brings attention to a brief but interesting west coast tour from December 11th to the 17th. I'll be performing with an interesting trio; myself; Joey DeFrancesco & Dennis Chambers. We begin in Santa Cruz at The Kuumbwa Theatre; we then will be recording live at Yoshi's in Oakland and finally up to Seattle at Jazz Alley. I'll also be in Germany this September. I hope this helps to fill you in on the itinerary to some degree. There will be a number of additions shortly. Until then thanks for keeping in touch!

Dear Pat, We've met but I'm sure you don't remember. Is there any reason why your Itenery in not updated? Perhaps you are spending some time with your beautiful wife. It appears that you have finally found what you've worked so hard for. Is there any chance that "Four Dimensions" will be released again. It is one of my most favorite albums that you recorded, as I use to play in the organ trio bag. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Love, Peace, Health, & Happiness! Yours in Christ, Mike

I forgot to add that you, Larry Coryell and John McLaughlin are in the same league of outstanding performers. In fact, I would buy an album where two or all of you were featured. Thank God that you lived through the brain aneurism and are playing better than ever before!

Pat, I am a keyboardist in San Diego, but I have followed your career since the 1970's. I love your linear technical expertise which is truly unique to nobody else. I was touched to hear of your recovery from brain surgery. My mother-in-law had this surgery in early 1972-1973 and recovered most of her faculties [she died tragically just two months ago of cancer]. I had wondered where you were after the 1970s ended until I heard of your aneurism. May I say that, after buying "All Sides Now", your fiery and tasty qualities were never so revealed throughout the CD. I appreciate all the great performances. I have always enjoyed Mike Stern, Robben Ford in his fusion days, Kevin Eubanks and your interpretations of the jazz classics ["Exit" is especially my all time favorite album]. I have heard you taught a local favorite here in San Diego, Peter Sprague. Is there a future album to perform more interpretations of jazz bebop classics as only you can? I love Gil Goldstein as a sideman!

I'm a 17 yr old aspiring musician and guitarist. Few other artists have managed to touch me as deeply as you have. For this I am grateful. I had no idea playing such as yours was possible. By-the-way, are you available to do workshops for highschool students?

Dear Mr. Martino, Twenty years ago my first music teacher suggested i listen to your albums to get a sense of "linear cohesion." i've never stopped. You should play in philadelphia more often!!! Your wide musical horizons are an inspiration to many. regards, don zebrauskas

Hi Pat: I hope things have been going well for you. I have been sharing your miraculous story of how you retrained yourself how to play guitar, with many people..It is indeed a remarkable true story and it shows us that God is still in the miracle business...Mike Erdos from CT also sends his regards to you. We both have some considerable experience on the Guitar. I have been playing for over 30 years. Mike has been playing longer than I have... We both enjoy your music...I play a Joe Pass Emperor Model Epiphone Guitar. Chao for now...God bless....

Dear Mr. Martino: my English is not good, but I´ll try! I listeng your music since the LP that included "Alone came Betty" and recently i´ve heard "Stone Blue" and it´s great! It´s hard to get your works in my country, but now with the on line "shopping" may be a little bit more easy. Hasta la vista! Pablo Morales

Dear Pat - It was great to see you at Iridium last Sunday, June 4th, 2000! You were great, as always, and the band was dynamite too. I'm just one of the many whose life you've touched so very deeply, and the chance to talk with you for a few minutes and reconnect momentarily was outta sight. I rode that positive energy all the way home down the NJ "Turnpike". All My Love Jim Josselyn

Dear Mr. Martino- I'm 19 and have been playing the guitar for about eight years now- I just got into jazz approx. 3 years ago- I heard you for the first time last year when I bought We'll be together again- I needed to write this message to display my thanks to you- your playing has opened my playing into a direction I did not know was possible a year ago. I will forever be a fan and hope to see you perform in the states sometime soon. I would also be greatly interested in lessons if you are still teaching- Thank you- Respect.

Dear Mr. Pat Martino, I just wrote to tell you that it was your playing that pushed my musical boundaries. I am a twenty-year-old struggling guitar player, in a country short of jazz material. I have been trying my hands on jazz for sometime now, and I was not prepared when I hear you play in All Sides Now. It made me look at the instrument at a new angle. Thank you. By the way, I just got a copy of We’ll Be Together Again, my ears just fell off! Sincerely yours, Dindo A. Santiago basantiago (at) yahoo.com P.S. I did a portrait of you; one in black and white, and in color. I want to give them to you as a token of my appreciation. I have scanned them to .jpg files. How can I send them to you?
