Dear Pascal, ... thanks for the comments. As to your question. Both pieces were written by John Coltrane. The second piece performed was "Impressions", and the piece before the ballad was "Africa". Once again thanks for your appreciation.

Dear Mr. Martino, I have been _very_ impressed with your preformance at the Blue Note festival in Ghent last week. I've been a long time fan and was looking forward to this concert. I was wondering if I could get a set list of the Ghent concert. I'm extremely interested to find out further details about the second piece as well as the piece that came before the quiet song (4th ???) Thanks a lot for blessing Belgium with an extremely good show. Cheers from Belgium, Pascal.

Pat's music is timeless. I listen to Pat for decades and still get the same excitment as if I heard it for the first time. I was sorry and worried about Pat's Brain surgery and I am so glad to see he is well and as inspired and accomplished as ever. I suffered myself from a brain tumor 4 years back and Pat's meditative music have been part of my own therapy to recover (I am now back to a healthy life with no trace of the tumor). As a musician (guitar)myself, I found that music helped me recover. Thank you Mr. Martino, keep on playing! One of my favorite Pat track is Sunny (live on Muse records)and the joyous Lake album....and everything else!

Another general message to "rabid Martino Fans" ,Ed K. I would suggest you go to both shows in Philly on the Aug. 6/7 dates. No two Martino shows are ever exactly the same, but are always Masterful,if your travling that far do both shows. I've seen over 100 Martino concerts. All were completly amazing ! Mr. Martino is one of the greatest improvisers of all time, don't miss a single show.

As a young jazz guitar student I can honestly say that your music has inspired me more than words can say. I will note that I first became familiar with your music when I saw you on an episode of "Studio Jams" that played on BET JAZZ about 6 months ago. Thank you so much for your dedication to something that cannot be faked, I greatly appreciate the inspiration you have given me. Thanks again Mike v.

General message to fellow rabid Martino fans. I've been following Pat's music since the '70's and had the distinct pleasure of seeing him perform in San Francisco a few years ago. I'm currently living in North Carolina and am planning to travel to Philly to see Pat perform the weekend of August 6th. Particularly you Philly residents, any recommendations on which show to attend?

Hello Mr. Martino, My name is Alex Potts. I am a 17 year old jazz guitar player who attends Orange County Highschool of the Arts. I study with one of your former students Stu Goodis, he recently gave me your "El Hombre" and "First Light" recordings. I am very taken with your playing. Thank you for your artistry! I hope to see you some time when you play a concert down here. Mabey you could do a clinic at OCHSA... I know your very busy though so I understand that would be tough to do. Anyway, thank you so much for your time! Alex

dear mr. pat martino, thank you for your concert in graz, austria. like you know, it was a great concert, really nice songs - only the sound-mix was bad and the "marshall-cabinet" wasn`t very good, too. Of course I tried to meet you (for an autograph), but there was no chance ;-)) Thank you for coming - hope I can hear you live again - (a live-cd or dvd about an concert would be great, like "The Open Road - Video") - again, THANK YOU - felix

What a great concert at Blue Note Ghent !! Me and my jazzfriends enjoyed from beginning to the end. And Eric Alexander is one of the greatest sax players on this planet. The best performance I have seen this year. Pat, you are nr. 1 jazzguitar for me. Keep Swinging André

Dear Pat (or whoever reads these entries): I've been searching for 2 years to find the companion book and cd to Creatve Force Part 2 (video). I've tried every possible internet resource, and have no success thus far. I would be eternally greatful if you could give me some direction in terms of obtaining this book. I've worked through the tape and book for Part 1, but need the book for part 2 to truly get the material. Any help would be humbly accepted. I've been following yor career for 30 years and have great respect and admiration for your musical and personal achievments. I look forward to an upcoming workshop with you in the near future. Best wishes, Mark Daniels

Hello Pat, Hope life has been wonderful for you and your wife! I noticed that you touring Europe and are soon to be in Belgium, a place I would love to visit some day. I am an amatuer beer brewer and love the creativity that the Belgian brewers put into their beers. If you are into beers, have a Lambic from the source! I am wondering if you ever imagined lyrics to some of your tunes? I am playing through a few of them and find that it has been very satisfying to sing the heads while playing the lines on the guitar (for instance, The Visit). I am thinking about trying to fit lyrics, as well. So far, I have not seen anyone else that has tried to do this, so I hope that I might add something interesting. I wish you the best in your travels and am proud to have such an ambassador as yourself represent the art and beauty that exists in our country. Jeff

Pat, How can I get my hands on a copy of your "Nature of the Guitar" Book? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I see excerpts on your web site, but is that all you can get from the book? Please fill me in.

Hello Pat, I've always enjoyed your music a lot through the years. But I wonder. What happened to Bassplayer Mark Leonard who played so great on Joyous Lake in 1976?I cannot find one single thing about him on the web. Not even another recording were he is on...

Dear Pat, I loved your playing, who you are, from the first note I heard you play...perhaps even before! I studied with Dennis in the early 70's, a lovely and penetrating experience. In 1980 I had an experience of Revelation which changed EVERYTHING from the inside out. I then began working with A Course In Miracles which provided major support and encouragement for the transformation that was occurring as a result of the profound awakening I experienced. I stayed somewhat abreast of what was occurring in your life through Craig Snyder who I occasionally played for. It's wonderful to be thinking of you and will look forward to your next appearance in NYC. Jeffrey Mironov
