Pat's Guest Book archive, July, 2003.
Hello Pat, Your virtuosity has always blown me away.
As I also am from Philly and studied for a while with Dennis Sandole (God rest his soul),I was and still am in awe of your music. Someday I hope you'll be able to perform at the "Big Arts" theater here in Sanibel, Florida. The audiences are really appreciative of artistry of your calibre. I wish you the best always.

Dear Pat: I am considering purchasing your Gibson signature model. I am curious as to whether the guitar has a solid interior block like some of the new Gibson semi-hollow bodies. Does yours have the solid interior block?
Also, I am looking forward to your return to the LA area. I have caught your act at Catalina's.

I just heard an incredible duo performance by Pat and Jim Ridl at National Library in Ottawa. This was some of the best music I've heard in years!Amazing use of a 'Paganini-esque'technique in building musical tension with wide chromatically ascending intervals.....a GEM of a performance.....Thanks so much for being so gracious in speaking with us after your performance....Looking forward to "Think Tank'

I was thrilled to hear you speak about music theory and your amazing recovery from brain injury, as well as to hear you play so fabulously at the Ottawa Jazz Festival (July 27, National Library of Canada).

I've had this song running through my head the last few days, and after I put on "Live at Yoshi's", I realized it was that exceptionally tasty version of "All Blues." Then I wandered over to the website and see that it's been nominated for a Grammy. Awesome! Way to go! It's going to be a good day...
Thanks for some fine music, Pat: you inspire me.
Cheers, Richard

Dear Mr. Martino, Thanks for making the world a better place. If you weren't already aware, you are held in extremely high regard within the relatively small jazz community here in Cape Town, South Africa. Your music is simply wonderful. I am working through Linear Expressions and then on to Creative Force. The pursuit of truth shall set me free.... Stay well and thanks again for all your great work. May your name live forever! Zane

Pat.I made a point to take wife to the Tralfamadore in Buffalo on the 21st of June.I wanted her to hear what a real Guitarist sounds like.Needless to say I wanted to hear and see you perform. You have been an inspiration to me by the sheer will to learn all over again this wonderful instrument.I have recently started to play after putting down the instrument for approx.15 years. It has brought me great pleasure to start again learn new technique and your concept of chord inversions(creative force).Keep up the good work and come again to Buffalo.Marc.P.S I never made to the Pine Grill,But I did catch acts such as Pharoah Sanders and Roland Kirk at the Revelot Louge in Buffalo back in the early 70's in my college days.

Dear Mr.Martino! I've listed to your music for years, so seeing you live at the Iridium in Jan this year was just wonderful - Today I finally found the cd for a number you played there - 'Send in the clowns' ( my fav Martino track ) and just wanted to write and tell you how much your music touches me. I am interesting in reading more about the mathematical comparisons you have written about ( under nature of the Guitar ) - specially the I Ching patterns - and hope to find more on your philosophy - soon ! Wish you the very best years of playing, ahead - hoping to see you at Zanzibar Blue in October !
