Pat's Guest Book archive, July, 2002.

Dear Pat, I had the pleasure of meeting you between sets at the Iridium a few years ago. We actually shared a beer and that was one of the highlights of my life. I had a few of those big Fosters and nearly didn't make it home that night. I have been somewhat out of touch with Jazz for the past two or so years, writing mostly lyrical tunes, rock and blues based and recording. The reason for my getting away from Jazz is that my son died and after many years of abandoning rock, I realized that with his playing and composing at only 15, he influenced me as much as any great player has done. But alas, I am getting bored with the rock genre and plan on going out and buying up all of your CD's that I do not already own. One thing I will always remember about you, was your willingness to talk to a stranger, your graciousness and the very spiritual nature of your being through your kindness and profound love of music. PS- I hope to see you live again soon. Regards, Mike Amato

Hi Pat, just to tell you that we saw You playing for the first time at Umbria Jazz, last winter in Orvieto, and by that time we decided that we would have seen your concert again in Perugia next summer, and so we did. We were among the luky people at the Turrenetta on the 13th of July. What can I say? If it's possible we saw You playin' even better than last december, and that is to say that we have been completely fascinated by Your huge class and incredible style and taste. Most of the so called musicians that play around here should see You playing just like attending a jazz school. Hope to see You soon again in Italy, maybe around here where there's a beautiful music hall where people like Al di Meola, Petrucciani, Tuck and Patti, Koonitz, Pine etc. have been already playing. Thank You Pat, thank You so much!! Claudio and Enrica

Pat, Joey and Byron, your concert at the Vogue in Vancouver [June 26 2002] was awesome! Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening. I'm not generally a fan of live albums, but I picked up a copy of Live At Yoshi's, and I love it. Thanks again, Mark

your minor conversion method has REALLY brought my playing alive!! I'm integrating it w/ my own concepts and it really HIPS up the chops! And so accessible, too.... right on, my man!!!!!!! Playing turnpike and catch out in the clubs and getting a fantastic response...... thank you, Pat....

WOW! That's all I can say about your music. I've been listening to your music for over thirty years and it still has me smiling. You're one of the few musician's musician, who also astounds the masses. Everytime I listen you your music, its like hearing it for the first time. I do have one question though. Do you have more than five fingers on your left hand? (Smile) God Bless
