Pat's Guest Book archive, July, 1999.
Pat,
I'm 45 and have enjoyed listening to you since college. I just didn't (and still don't) hear anyone that played guitar like that. Your "Joyous Lake" tour came through the St. Louis area on April 3, 1977, my birthday, and it was quite a present to hear you in person. Do consider coming again; it's been 22 years, and I think that St. Louis would receive you well.

Hi Pat, I've enjoyed and have been inspired by your music for many years.
Looking forward to seeing you at Mt Hood Jazz Festival. Would it be possible to
arrange to take a lesson when you are in Oregon? I hope to have purchased your books and video
by then. If you are going to visit the "Left Coast" for a while I'd like to invite you
to come by the Mackie Factory, where I work, in the Seattle area for a tour (or more)!
Anyway, my friends and I will be in the front row with binoculars. You are the "King of Guitarists".
Humbly yours,
Rolf Johnson
P.S. It is an E.

See you in mad hatter.

Pat, I was checking out your page under the sub-menu" Nature of The Guitar" and
and under the sub title "Vertical/Horizonal: Inversions and Positions, noticed
that listed for DIMINISED horizonal 4th position, the "E note" is called out.
I think thats a typo and should be a "D flat". Hope to hear from you thanks.

Hi Pat! I've been listening to your work for about three years now since a guitar teacher made a tape of you for me and since then I have bought every disk i can find that you have done. I am a 21 year old guitar major at Albion College in Albion Michigan and I have played for 12 years. I was wondering if it would be at all possible to set up a lesson with you sometime in the near future. I believe the drive would be more than well worth it to study even once with you. I also have a friend that lives in Pittsburgh so it would be easy to stay in Pennsylvania to ease driving time. If you would like to get hold of me by phone the number is (517) 787-8776 or you can just e-mail me thank you for your time.

Wow! I finally got hip to you-- Man, what I've been missing! "We'll be Together Again" is gorgeous. Can't wait to dig you in person at The Blue Note this September. Thanks for making life a little more beautiful. PS-- Did you ever jam with Art Pepper? I couldn't sleep last night (too happy) imagining what it would sound like!

Mr. Martino, thanks for always playing your butt off. I love all of your music, and listen to it daily. The lesson I had with you last August really helped me straighten things out. Your approach to the guitar, and to jazz, has helped me very much. I hope to see you in New York.
Thanks, Dan Arcamone.
