It was worth driving through a snow storm and back to see you play for the first time even though I have been a fan a long time. Kind of a metaphysical thing huh? Hope to see you play again soon without the snow storm.

There are many guitar players that I like, but only a few that I love. You are one of these.

Pat, It was so good to hear you when you were at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago. I was honored to watch you play with Joey D. and Billy Hart. What a thrill. God Bless you! I hope you enjoyed my CD. Tony Monaco

Hi Pat, you're the dude. Only album (yes; album, although only CD) I own because I haven't known better until now, is "All Sides Now" which leaves me lots of goodies to choose from and lots to come. I love your playing and your web-site stands out, I like your concepts and your music and playing speaks for itself. If you're ever in my space look me up, I know a couple good restaurants!

Hello Pat. I've been a rock guitarist for about 13 years now, and this summer while passing through the Chicago Blues fest I saw the new Gibson Pat Martino Custom...what an amazing guitar...but to be honest, i had never listened to jazz, and hadn't heard of you. I immediately got ahold of as much of your material as possible. I just want to say thank you for opening my eyes to the world of jazz guitar. I'm planning on starting over and taking lessons again, and saving up for a Caramel colored Gibson Pat Martino Custom.

I am just amazed by how many Martino's are out there. Where I live you rarely find any Martino's that you aren't related to. This is so cool.

Hi all, the new Sagmeister/Martino - CD is available at: http://www.acoustic-music.de/cgi-bin/englisch/abnetshop.cgi you have to search for "Martino", then you get it. My opinion: a smart and relaxed session between two congenial musicians. Hopefully in America will be more appreciation for Michael Sagmeister. Sorrily the guitars have the same sound. Even for me as a guitarist and longtime fan of Martino and Sagmeister it's impossible to distinct them by sound. But the music is great, Martino seems to be very relaxed yet powerfull. Marc

Hey Pat - great show at Yoshi's in Oakland last month! Funniest moment: during one of the fast 'burning' tunes, Yoshi's fire alarm starts shrieking. Joey De Francesco stops playing first, followed by Pat and Billy Hart. When the crowd has realized that the place isn't on fire, a guy shouts out 'You guys are HOT!', and they start playing again...! So for those who think that Pat plays with 'burning intensity' etc - it's now empirically proven that he can set off fire alarms...

Mission Accomplished. I just got my buddy Steve out in Indy to order some Pat Martino - Steve's never heard Pat play. He's been listening to a lot of 70's Miles Davis and King Crimson. Steve is in for one hell of a treat isn't he? Last night I was driving home up State Road 57 from downtown Phoenix to Scottsdale. The ski was on fire and the mountains had turned to brilliant orange and purple as the sun set. I was listening to Coltrane at Birdland on the CD player... The Promise. Then it struck me, from a fire, intensity, and virtuoso point of view, Pat comes very close to the intestity that surrounded Trane's playing. I've listened to all of the best recording guitar players, Hall, Metheny, Burrell, Fripp, Pass, McLaughlin etc, etc. Nobody else can burn up a fret board like Pat Martino and still make is swing with feeling. Ok, maybe Joe Pass shouldn't be lumped in there, it's impossible to find anyone who could pull off what Joe pulled off, but that's a different style altogether. Go Pat Go! Go! Go! Go! Mark
