Philadelphia, pa USA - Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 23:24:05 (EST)Pat, I know that you are as sad as all the res of us at the news that Hank Garland has passed away. He was such a great influence on all guitar players who ever heard him and he such a great impact on the music. It is especially sad because he died from a totally preventable "staph infection". What an immeasurable loss to us all.

Houston, TX USA - Monday, December 20, 2004 at 08:54:02 (EST)Hi Pat. Thanks for putting out the "giant steps" studies. It`s really helpful. It helps you in an understable way to both explore the vertical and horizontal thinking of improvising on such a tune. I just wondered if you could give some info/lessons on "breaking" up these very linear forms? Regarding the different intervals etc. Thanks for inspirational playing. Hope to see you perform soon. (in Norway.) Take care...

Boston, MA USA - Friday, December 10, 2004 at 15:44:57 (EST)Hi Pat, Wanted to wish you happiness for the holidays. Thought of you the other day as I was playing Road Song out at a little local bar (someone called it). I pulled out The Visit to relisten. I'm really excited to see you playing a tribute to Wes and wish there was some way I could make it out there to the West Coast. I'll be there in spirit. I have undying love for Wes' music and spirit and, without sounding too corny, for you as well. Jeff

las vegas, Nv USA - Friday, December 10, 2004 at 04:12:22 (EST)Dear Pat, What a wonderful mind you have, Your music seems a perfect balance between the visceral and cerebal. An emotional expression of logic (or vice versa)
I have greatly enjoyed working from your book Linear Expressions (Years of study in that text alone!)
With much admiration and appreciation - Dave

Wellington, NZ - Tuesday, December 07, 2004 at 03:33:55 (EST)Dear Pat, I'm a struggling guitarist/artist. I maintain by reminding myself of you and what you've accomplished, against all odds. Musically you are a father to me and listening to you play, I am reminded of how I feel when I see my fathers face and realize how much I look like him. I look at music in a way that is completely differant than you. I believe in a simple equation. Sound+feelings=music. It's the musical E=MC2. Pretty simple eh?

Berlin, Germany - Friday, December 03, 2004 at 05:02:47 (EST);Hi PAT
It has been ages, but I thought it was worth a try. we were friends back in the late 60´s when I created your album cover to your dedication to Wes Montgomery. Somehow it just seemed time to make contact again. I´m in Germany now and would hope one day to touch base again while you´re on tour this way or when I come to America again.

Santarém, Portugal - Thursday, December 02, 2004 at 05:08:09 (EST)Hey Pat. I've been studyng the nature of the guitar section that you've provided on your website and from there I purchased your creative force and quantum guitar series which are awsome and abundant in knowledge. I have been shifting alot on my practice of the chord skeletons and wonder if there was a methodical way that you went about learning them? All the best!
