I was at your first show in Orvieto with 3 friends that didn't know you; I want to thank you so much for the wonderful evening of sweet music I've had the opportunity to attend to, it's been delicious. You've also got 3 more "fans" of your magic guitar. Thanks a lot to Joey, too. I'll be in Philly Feb 8th till 14th, any chance to see you?

Pat: While driving to my guitar lesson about two weeks ago, I heard a German guitarist play one of his originals on KLON in Long Beach, CA. The title of the track was "Dry Martino." Which is obviously a tribute to you. Do you know who it was????
It was on Chuck Niles show. In fact I was on my way to a lesson with Joe Diorio and I told him about the tune but he did not know of the guitarist's name. His first name is Joachim and the record outfit is "Nagleheimer" which I tried to find on the Net but to no avail. Anyway, it was a great tune. I can't wait to see you again out here, your gig at Catalina's was superb. Jim Taylor, Palm Springs, CA

Hi, Pat. Just wanted to say thanks again for
making time for our "extended" conversation at WJCT. The show aired last Saturday night and I've gotten some excellent comments from
a host of listeners. Your "story" and your
music are equalling incredible....but what else to expect from a Philly guy? Hope that
you've been able to reconnect with Billy B.
If that's still in the works, give him my best. Stay well and good luck at the Grammy
Awards next year! Bob Bednar

Hello Pat,
I saw you play the TLA with the Philadelphia Experiment this past Satuday, December 15. Just wanted to say how great the show was and that I thought your performance was outstanding! Great job getting through that first number despite that high E string snapping on you :)
Thanks Pat!

Pat, I hope you give some consideration to heading back to Jazz Alley in Seattle for another run this upcoming summer. Seattle is beautiful in the summer (avoid the rest of the time...). The gigs I went to were pretty packed, and you guys were were playing hot. Great shows.

Greetings to all of Pat's fans:
I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Pat and Jim Ridl in a killer show this past Thursday, December 6, at the University of North Florida (my alma mater) in Jacksonville. Pat visited the College of Music at UNF for a few days of workshops with UNF's fine Ensemble I jazz band. The visit culminated with Pat's show at the university theatre to a large and appreciative crowd.
The program began with a showcase of 4 tunes by the UNF Ensemble I. Pat and Jim then performed a series of duets, providing us with an hour of music that ranged from the driving to the ethereal. The show concluded with the Ensemble returning to back up Pat and Jim in three swinging numbers.
I last saw Pat in New York in late 1984, as he made his return to public performing. I attended with my brother-in-law Tim, then a student at Berklee in Boston, and two of his classmates from Japan. They were as thrilled about seeing Pat as anyone I've ever seen, and the show we witnessed that evening was incredible.
Seventeen years later, my opinion of this remarkable man hasn't changed. Thanks to Pat and Jim for an incredible evening, and thanks to Bunky Green and the UNF Great American Jazz Series for bringing this great artist to Jacksonville.
cheers -- Joe

This page is fantastic. Although I've been a great fan of Pat Martino for many years, this is the first time I visit this page. I am a jazz guitarist myself, and I will visit N.Y. and Washington from the 6th through the 17th of December 2001. My group. Line Up, will give performances at Red Hook Blue in Brooklyn, and at Levine School and Twins Jazz club in Washington. I sincerely hope I will be able to attend mr. Martino's performance in N.Y. while I'm there. Thank you very much.
