Pat's Guest Book archive, April, 2001.

Hey Pat, I had the pleasure of studying with you in the late 70's and early 80's. Those lessons went beyond music. You have been a significant force in my life over-all. I cant wait to see you in 2 days at the Iridium! I love you bro! Tim

Pat, Arizona is still waiting. I've been listening for almost a year now. Interchange gets played over and over again and it NEVER gets old. I have to rate this session as among those "perfect" sessions like Kind of Blue and Kenny Wheeler's Gnu High. Speaking of Kenny Wheeler, what an incredible collaboration that would be! Come to the desert and see us sometime. Mark

your music is absolutely fantastic and i can't wait for those transcriptions to be available to check with my own. I would so love to be able to catch you live somewhere man, please, come down here and do a show. Thanks keep up the great work. p.s. your version of Alone Together opened my eyes to a whole new world - that break with Amin arpeggio to the solo: it SWINGS so hard to me man.

I must agree with that previous message from robert larsson. You got so many great solo guitar pieces(Country Road, PRELUDE!). A solo album from Pat Martino would be something scheming.

Hi Pat - I wanted to send my compliments and congratulations on your new website look - it is tremendous. Also, I am so excited at the upcoming release of "Live at Yoshi's." I had the great fortune to hear you at Jazz Alley in Seattle that week, and also two nights at Yoshi's. Not only was this one of the greatest examples of jazz guitar that I have heard, it was one of the all time great jazz groups that I have heard. If the recording captures even 10% of the excitement and beauty that you all created, it will be incredible. Congratulations again, keep up the great music, and please come back to the Bay Area soon! Best wishes, John Klopotowski

Big fan of your 'Joyous Lake' album since it's original release in '76, and quite delighted for finally getting hold of the reissue in the 'First Light' CD. Hoping to hear live takes of Pyramidal Vision, Mardi Gras and Joyous Lake in your upcoming live performances. Best wishes, Mike

Your website is extremely attractive, educational, and inspiring. As another jazz artist making a comeback from a physical challenge, I feel blessed to know your story. Thanks so much. Are there sound bytes on your website?

I wore out 2 copies of "Pat Martino-Live" trying to cop your lines at 16rpm. Then I realized only you can play them. I did learn so much about construction and flow just by "inhaling" them. No one comes near your creativity and joy. Pat .. YOU THE MAN. Indeed, we've been blessed.

Dear Pat: As a friend I would like to say thank you for the love and kindness you have shown me in my life. As a fellow survivor I would like to say thank you for your strength and conviction and for displaying the courage to overcome obstacles. As an artist you are in a class of your own. I will be forever beholding to you for your friendship and for providing the inspiration to "dare to soar." Love, REE
