Pat's Guest Book archive, April, 2000.

Pat, the evolution of your albums inspire me to constantly move forward with my music. Its especially pleasing to see that a musician of your caliber still remains grounded to maintain a website and more importantly, a CONNECTION to your fans, it means more to me(and us) than one will probably ever know. THANK YOU

Dear Pat, i just payed my deposit for the clinic in the south of france, i pray that the number of people registered meets your standard, because i know that something like this will help me evolve as a musician and a spiritual being. i spent august 1999 in the south of france and it was one of the most memorable experiences i have ever known, and i would love to create another with the insight you have to offer. kyle blase

What a thrill to finally see/hear you play in person last year--tribute to J. Smith and then last fall at the Blue Note with John Scofield. Your music and your story are both inspiring. Hope to catch you at Iridium next month.

I am pleased to hear of your return and subsequent victories I have an old recording we made together back in[should I say?] 1963 in Phila. in a private studio then located on Ranstead St. made with bassist John Lamb,Tommy Steele and you.It remains today as one of my favorite memories of your playing and your encouragement for me to join Lloyd's band back then when N.Y. seemed so far away [I mean,we were only kids] was a constant inspiration whenever I was attempting something "NEW" in LIFE,Right time,Right place,my friend. It has remained a blessing for me.P.S.Just played that for a friend ,lately and it blew him away]Please continue to keep growing and expanding and we'll keep the lights on as an old commercial used to say. Love and good wishes to you, Dave Moore.

Hi Pat In '68 [at 17] I bought El Hombre and have been a great admirer of your musicever since.Just today I was showing a student the e dim converting to 4 sevenths etc and it occured to me that if you flat the e producing e flat 7 etc going from lowest to highest notes of the e dim form[top 4 strings] you produce the cadences to Aflat maj. First, e flat 7 [five chord]. Second, A7, flat 2 seven of a flat. Then C7 which is five of the rel min, and, G flat seven which we know resolves to A flat maj as a sort of sub dom min sound. The symetries of music/math are beautiful nes't pas ? Thanks for the wonderfull music and May the force be with you.

words cannnot express the gratitude I have for your musianship. I would particularly point to one album that, since its release in the mid-70's, has been enormously inspiring to me. It has served as a sort of meditatve anchor to me and has seen me through more than one crisis. I speak of We'll Be Together Again, the first jazz guitar recording I ever purchased and one that led me to other great recordings - Martino, Wes, Tal, and eventually lead to my eventual study of improvisation. It still remains one of my favorite recordings, after all this time. So, again, a heartfelt thank you for this music and all the other music you have created.
