Greetings Pat,
Your approach to music serves as an ongoing inspiration to me. Do you continue to teach? If so, please let me know what are the next steps that I need to take. If not, the lessons on your site "Nature of Guitar" have given me plenty to work with.
Regards, Jim Lee

Hello Pat
I just saw your show at new market caberet on 4/17/99
enjoyed as always you always have a fresh blow you away type
of material there was a melody that you played in one score
that took me out and the final note was the finale it blew
me away and sparked a special personal touch as I recalled
from previous lessons with you this a signature Pat Martino
ending take good care of yourself and I ll see you soon
Sincerely
Bill

Dear Pat
Your name is rather unknown even to 'guitar kids' in Korea. A rare encounter with your album "The Return" made an instant 'Martinoholic ' of me; and it is not just the incredible guitar but the inner side of you. Whenever I talk about guitar and music, I rave about you. Thank you for the inspiration. I wish I could see you in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. A growing number of Koreans appreciate your music and life itself.
Sincerely
Heechae, Woo

Dear Pat,
wishing you the best wishes from the Orient, it's inspirational
to hear music that is still fresh & vibrant and made available by
master guitarists like you (and John McLaughlin). What beautiful
examples of life you are giving.
I am a guitarist who has released 5 CDs and was featured in GUITAR
Resume November '91, going to be in NYC in September - looking forward
to your shows! (and a lesson...?)

Hello from France!
I discovered the LP 'consciousness' about 15 years ago and then started to find your records (which is not that easy in my country)
thank you Pat Martino for your wonderful music.

Hi Pat, you are my favorite jazz guitarist. I saw you give a
clinic at the University of North Texas last year and I just wanted
to tell you how interesting it was. I even got to meet you after when
you popped your head into the combo class. Anyway, I wanted to ask
what kind of guitar is that wood-finish looking one with the
mother of pearl lining and inlays that you sometimes use? Not
the Parker Fly and not the Gibson.

Mr. Martino, I just wanted to tell you what a huge fan I am of
your music! I've been playing guitar for about three years now
and, am currently the guitarist for the U-Maine jazz ensemble.
I have never heard anyone play the guitar like you do. You are
truly an inspiring musician. Any plans on playing in Boston?
Best regards,

BirdLand in January and we are sorry that we didn´t see you play. We hope
you feeling better now. Did you get our wine?. We are very interested in
bringing you to play in Chile. How can we do this?(it is possible). We loved
the Manhattan Jazz scene and hope to go back with our wives, because we wont
to see you play. Hope you are well. Germán and Sebastián

For guitarists wishing to get closer to Pat's music, I highly recommend the two books of Pat's tunes available through this web site. They are terrific! I was also going to request that you include Pat's master classes/clinics as part of the main subheadings to make it easier for those of us who would come from great distances to hear what Pat has to say. For me, it has been an honour attending a couple of Pat's master classes over the past few years and again I highly recommend attending one if you are a jazz guitar player interested in developing. We in Canada wish you good health, Pat.

I am a violin restorer, and love to practice and perform the classics. But I also have played jazz guitar for 20 years, and I still recall the first time I heard you solo over "Sonny". I was about 15. When I hear you play, I always learn something. Your CD, "Stone Blue" is just awsome. Look forward to seeing you live in NYC!!!

Hi, Pat.
I hope all is well with you. Check out: www.berksjazzfest.com. I just want to let you know that the 9th Annual Berks Jazz Fest was a HUGE sucess, again. The Berks Arts Council president announced that it is now the largest jazz festival on the eastern seaboard and is still growing! Bill Royston is one of the major forces behind BJF and is behind the Clifford Brown Jazz Fest in Delaware, as well. Hey, we're only 55 miles west on the PA turnpike. We'd love to see you up here in a big way. BJF tickets sales are worldwide. From as far away as Japan, Holland, as well as Canada and Puero Rico. Hope to see you here next year. Erwin
